September 19, Tsunami Picnic - for the first time at Igora Drive!
On September 19, the Leningrad Region will host one of the largest and most significant events in the world of extreme and motor sports in Russia - Tsunami PICNIC, which will show the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans auto marathon.
This year the festival will take place at a new site near St. Petersburg - at the Igora Drive autodrome, built by the famous track designer Hermann Tilke. Entertainment zones will be open for guests throughout the day: a large-scale exhibition of stance culture, Japanese auto projects and giant SUVs. As well as a market place with themed accessories for every taste, shows from the strongest stunt riders in Russia, demonstrations and competitions among the leading drift teams G-Drive, EETeam, Dark Side Failcrew and famous drift pilots of the country, a skate contest and a battle of break dance artists.
The culmination of the picnic will be the G-Drive Drift Games competition - drift races in the gymkhana format, where 16 professional pilots will have to complete special tasks accompanied by a music and light show. First - solo rides with the collection of points for the team, and then - doubles, where the skill and style of passing the route will be assessed by an reputable jury.
Fans of endurance racing will be able to follow the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans race online at the festival and support the only Russian team in the field - G-Drive Racing. The live broadcast will start at 15.30 and will be available on the big screen in the dedicated G-Drive area. The oldest endurance race on the planet is a real challenge for testing not only the strength of character and stamina of the pilots who fight for victory during the day replacing each other, but also the equipment. It is not for nothing - the high-tech G-Drive fuel is tested in such extreme conditions during pre-season tests, and this fuel will be used by all competitors of the Tsunami festival.
